Ottertail county. This morning two ovenbirds hit our window. 50% mortality. These are the first of the species for me although I've heard them calling in our woods. Near the surviving bird I also discovered what I believe to be a female Wilson's warbler (no cap, no white anywhere underneath, no visible eye ring, just a beautiful golden yellow from chin to tail and green-grey on top). Does that sound right?
Guess I'll have to move the kestrel silhouette to that window now. Amy Drake
