Here's a quick update on a few species observed at Agassiz NWR.

Our Minnesota Birding Weekend group observed 21 species of shorebirds on the
refuge today. With these being some of the highlights, that were observed
on the South pool. Which is about 1/2 mile East of the Headquarters
building along CR 7.

Black-bellied Plover
Ruddy Turnstone
Red Knot - Juvenile plumage
Sanderling
Buff-breasted Sandpiper

These birds were observed between 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

Additionally a Willet was observed on the NW end of the Refuge on the
Tamarack Pool.

Long-tailed Jaeger - Some of the group started with this species. The bird
was on the road when they arrived at a little after 7:00 am.
