We spent the long weekend on Trout Lake north of Grand Rapids for an outdoor wedding. This Trout Lake is to the north near Spider and Wabana lakes.
On Sunday, 9-2-07 we counted a raft of 43 Common Loons on the lake. Very little calling. The ones that were vocalizing were coming in for a landing.
