Driving into a parking lot in Eagan this morning I scared up a first year Snow Bunting. Great habitat: asphalt. I always wonder about a single bird that is typically a flocking bird. Why is it on its own? It was quite skittish. Will it survive to make it a reunion with its kind?
This morning I saw the Red-breasted Nuthatch at the feeder that has been around for about a month. On our lake we had a pair of Wigeons. Steve Weston on Quiggley Lake in Eagan, MN sweston2 at comcast.net
