* 800+ Trumpeter Swans, Monticello * 250 Cedar & Bohemian Waxwings, Ann Lake (more Cedars, but Bohemian numbers have dramatically increased)
* Few Cackling Geese mixed in with the Canada Geese, Monticello. Single Coot looked cold & lonely (let's anthropomorphize together). * 34 Turkeys (six in tree around noon), 46 Pheasants scattered throughout area * May have had a distant look at the Solitaire's, Ann Lake - color, flight pattern looked right, but further investigation only turned up a Shrike (suspicious!) Good birding to all. Al (and Nate) Schirmacher Princeton, MN Mille Lacs & Sherburne Counties
