Just before 9:00 this morning I found a juvenile Sabine's Gull standing and walking among the Ring-billed Gulls at the swimming beach at the north end of White Bear Lake off of Hwy. 96. Within a minute or so the bird extended it's wings showing the triangles of black-white-brownish gray, thus cinching the identification for me. I then went to my car to make some phone calls, and after about 10 minutes, returned to the bird to savor it and try to get some photos, only to find it had in the meantime slipped away. A subsequent search around the lake proved to be unsuccessful.
