Week overview from Sherburne (primarily the refuge and Princeton sewage ponds) and southern Mille Lacs (Milaca Hiking Trail and sewage ponds):
* 13 sparrows - Henslow's highlight - missed Harris' & Savannah - best area is Sherburne NWR's auto tour * 6 shorebirds - couple of Dowitchers (presumably Long-billed this time of year) - best area is Princeton sewage ponds on CR2 * 6 warblers - 99% Yellow-rumped - otherwise Nashville, Tennessee, Orange-crowned, Palm, Redstart * Common Raven (calling, then seen over Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR) * Red-necked Grebes (four at Princeton ponds), American Pipit (same) * Waterfowl just beginning to move through.
