There was a female/immature Black Scoter on Lake Waconia, Carver county this
afternoon.
I observed the scoter from 3:00 - 3:30 from Lake Waconia Regional Park, just
east of Waconia. The bird was fairly close to shore (visible in binoculars,
but spotting scope needed for good views) and was just west of the west end of
the swimming beach.
