There was a piece on NPR-ATC this afternoon about bird strikes and the
folks at the Smithsonian who work to identify the species hit by
planes from the feathers.   The most common birds hit by planes?
Horned Larks and Mourning Doves.

New bird word: snarge - the bird goo left after a strike.
