Greetings: Kirsten and I decided to try our birding luck on 150th Avenue this afternoon. In the first half mile, south of 630 Street we saw two deer feeding in the field, a quarter of a mile east of 150th South of 640 Street we didn't see Jim and Jude Williams, but we did see two J's, blue jays, that is. South of 650 street we saw SIX TURKEYS on east side. We then drove south and found the coniferous trees, but did not see any White-winged Crossbills. Then we met two cars coming north. THe first had Bruce Lees who was looking for the White-winged Crossbills to take some pictures. He said they were there. Also told us to go west on 690 to look for the Snowy Owl. We turned around and drove back to the coniferous trees. We saw some birds fly to the north end so we went there and saw them again and they flew south so we turned around and went back to where Bruce and a lady in the seocnd car was There we saw many White-winged Crossbills in the top of some trees. Then the flock took flight --- and I think we saw around 100 White-winged crossbills.. So gragteful to Bruce Lee for sharing. We then drove west on 690 Street looking for the Snowy Owl which we never did see but we did see a Red-tailed Hawk. Forest and Kirsten Strnad Faribault, Mn.
