Only three of you have registered your child, grandchild, niece or
nephew, the bosses child, a neighbor or some young, enthusiastic
person. April 10, is coming up fast to qualify for the special prize
drawing.
MOU YOUTH BIRDING FESTIVAL
On May 2, 2009 from 8:00-3:00 the Minnesota Ornithologists’ Union and
the Lowry Nature Center (site of the program) in Victoria will host
the Youth Birding Festival. This event is intended for beginning and
intermediate birders. The goal of the program is to introduce youth,
ages 10 to 19, to the joys of birding.
Participants will be able to experience three sessions selected from
walks through a variety of bird habitats, a digital photography
session, bird banding and a biking and birding session. If you choose
the biking session, bring your own bike and helmet. For the Digital
Photography, please bring a digital camera if available. A 20-minute
Techno Birding presentation will be given by Sharon Stiteler for all
participants during the noon hour break. In addition, there will be
bird hikes for adults.
Please call 763-559-6700 to register. The registration fee is $5. If
registered by April 10, 2009, you will be entered in a special prize

Check-in time on May 2nd will be from 8:00-8:45. Please bring your own
lunch. Beverages will be provided for lunch. Bring binoculars if you
