hi gail-just bad timing. I photographed them the past 2 sundays, late in
the afternoon into evening. The female didn't come out of the nest last
sunday so only got the top of her head from across the highway but the
sunday before that the male and female switched places and for a while I got
pics of both standing in the nest being very friendly :) with each other.
then the female flew away for a while and the male nestled down in the nest.
The male likes to sit on a branch to the right of the nest for quite a while
before he either flies away or flies into the nest. BTW I refer to male and
female but that's not scientific-I don't know which is which--just assuming.
anyway, keep trying--seems like 5pm thru 7pm are good times. good luck.

Subject: [mou-net] eagles Highway 36

We have not seen the eagles in the tree or on the nest at Highway 36 & 61
for about two weeks. It could be we just have had bad timing, I hope that
is the case. Has anyone seen them recently? I sure hope nothing has
happened to either of them, they had been sitting on the nest but lately
nothing.
