Greetings from the FOREST along the Straight RIver in Faribault: When I reported about 4:00 this afternoon I had not seen a single Slate-colored Junco today. Around 6:00 p.m. Kirsten said there was a junco and a sparrow with a red cap feeding on the ground near our feeder. I got a good look at the sparrow with the white on the face. Our first Chipping Sparrow this year. Forest Strnad Faribault, Mn.
