Hello all....birded around the city of Winona and other areas in the county 
Saturday....here are some highlights:

Bartlett Lake Rd (behind Winona Airport)

Yellow-headed Blackbird
Pied Billed Grebes - a regular flotilla of these guys

Verchota Landing (Prairie Island)

Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Pectoral Sandpiper
American White Pelican
Rusty Blackbird

McNally Landing (PI)

Pine Warbler (!)
White Throated Sparrow
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Pileated Woodpecker

Prairie Island Deer Park

Yellow-rumped Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Sandhill Crane (in the grass field across from the deer park)

Lewiston Ponds

Ruddy Ducks
Green-winged Teal

For those who occasionally cross the river...Eastern Towhees where out in force 
in the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge, and Ruddy Ducks were present in 
big numbers as well.
