This morning at approximately 9:30 - 9:45 am I found what I believe to be a
female Brewer's Blackbird foraging in the short grass beside a trail at the
Rudy Kraemer Nature Preserve in northwest Burnsville. I found the bird on
the south side of the pond that is south of the ball field at the Sue
Fischer memorial park. I don't know how rare it would be to see a Brewer's
Blackbird at this time of year in Dakota County. I know I have never seen
one at this time of year. Could it be nesting nearby?

If you are inclined to go looking for it and are not familiar with the
location, here is a link to a Google map of approximately where I found the
bird.

You could park at either the nature preserve parking lot at the end of
Chowen Avenue or at the ball field parking lot at the end of Vincent Avenue.
