This morning at approximately 9:30 - 9:45 am I found what I believe to be a female Brewer's Blackbird foraging in the short grass beside a trail at the Rudy Kraemer Nature Preserve in northwest Burnsville. I found the bird on the south side of the pond that is south of the ball field at the Sue Fischer memorial park. I don't know how rare it would be to see a Brewer's Blackbird at this time of year in Dakota County. I know I have never seen one at this time of year. Could it be nesting nearby?
