June 9 This morning some interesting finds at Lake Byllesby included:
Common Merganser: adult female (spotted by Drew Smith) - very rare in summer. Interestingly, I found an adult male here 14 July 2008. Black Tern: 9 - This species has become quite scarce in recent years and very rare in summer.
