Field Trip Report
September 21, 2009
7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Spent the day birding in Northern Ramsey county.  Our group spent time at Long 
Lake Regional park, White Bear Lake and Snail lake regional park and Sucker 
Lake, which is part of the Snail Lake regional park.  Here are a few of the 
species observed by the group.

American White Pelican - 100+ - Snail Lake
Little Blue Heron - Turtle Lake - 3:45 - 4:00 pm - This is still the immature 
bird reported from this location about a month ago.

White Bear Lake - 11:30 - 1:30 pm - Lake Avenue - Between 4th Street and 
Banning Avenue
Sora - 1
American Golden Plover - 7
Semipalmated Plover - 2
Killdeer - 9
Least Sandpiper - 4
Baird's Sandpiper -2
Pectoral Sandpiper - 4
Dunlin - 1
Long-billed Dowitcher - 3
American Pipit - 2

Philadelphia Vireo - Sucker Lake 
Brown Thrasher - 3 Sucker Lake 

Warbler's - 12 species, including:
Tennessee Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
