A Palm Warbler showed up on our front step/driveway this morning in southern Mille Lacs County.

Mille Lacs Lake (western side) and Kathio State Park were relatively quiet Friday morning (southern edge of lake slushy, open water in Crow Wing County/Garrison) - had good numbers of Common Goldeneye, Common Mergansers (600 at one beach location), Herring Gulls (100+) - single Ring-necked Duck and Golden-crowned Kinglet - five Red-winged Blackbirds. Could not relocate the Harlequin, no loons apparent.

Good birding (and Christmas season) to all.
