Went out for a few hours yesterday PM and this AM.

Very beautiful up in the bog with bright sunshine. Few birds to be found.

The number of white-winged crossbills seems to be down lately. There were a few
redpolls scattered about. Gray jays were easy to find on McDavitt and Admiral
roads.

No Great Gray owls despite searching on McDavitt, Stone Lake Road, and Nichols
lake road.

Three hawk owls:
At Hwy 7 and Hwy 133.
One mile north of Hwy 133 on Hwy 7.
Just north of Hwy28 on Hwy 7.

Did have a nice look at an adult Northern Goshawk on Nichols lake road
yesterday.

I did have an additional two hawk owls reported by another observer:
US Hwy53 and CR52 in Cotton - seen on East side of intersection
yesterday AM.
US Hwy 53 north of MM51 about 1-2 miles south of Hwy 16 intersection
(about 10 miles North of Cotton).
Neither of these two birds was refound, even checking later the same day.
