The April meeting of MRVAC will be at the newly remodelled Minnesota River
Valley Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center 3801 American Blvd, Bloomington, this
Thursday (4/22) at 7pm and will feature Mark Lenarz of the Minnesota DNR
talking on "Moose, Another Victim of Climate Change?" Meetings are free and
open to the public.
"Both summer and winter temperatures are increasing throughout the Great Lakes
region. Concurrent with the temperature change, moose numbers throughout
northern Minnesota are on the decline. Is this coincidence or is there reason
to believe there is a link. I will discuss research conducted in Minnesota
since 1995 that suggests warming temperatures are the ultimate cause for the
declining moose populations."

When: Please join us at 7:00 pm to socialize over coffee and cookies from 7:00
to 7:30 pm. A brief business meeting and the featured speaker begin at 7:30 pm.
The meeting will conclude before 9:00 pm.

Directions: Take the 34th Avenue exit (same exit as the Humphry Terminal) form
I-494 and head south to American Blvd (80th Street) and turn east (left).
Follow the road around to the Visitor's Center on the right.
