I live in Anoka county and we have fireflies. I would guess that most parks in the area that have the right habitat would have them. That is, meadows and brush. We have them mostly in our wet meadow that is surrounded by brushy thickets and in other meadow-y areas. Rum River Regional Parks (there are a north and a south, north has more open, prairie type space, I think.) Might have them. You could call and ask at Elm Creek Regional Park. I bet they are there.

Does anyone know of a good location in the Twin Cities to see fireflies? I want to photographs some and they are not common in my south Minneapolis neighborhood.
