I support the DNR's right to make the decision, but that does
not make their decision-making process right. When we are excluded as a
party to such legislation, it is a clear message to us that we are not
considered a partner in such initiatives, which hurts since the DNR, the
MOU and others have worked together on so many things.
        This doesn't augur well for other similar species, I pray that
Great Blue Herons or even a Whooping Crane that will now get looked at
down a barrel of a full choke shotgun will not elicit an ignorant
response of a load of steel shot.
So it goes...good birding...
