A birder I know fairly well called me today wondering where to look for the jaegers that were being seen on Park Point. He was planning on going to the Superior entrance to wait for the birds to fly into Minnesota and wondered where else in Minnesota he would have a good chance to find them.
I pointed out that it was my interpretation that the birds were only being seen about 2 1/2 miles from Minnesota at the first parking lot on Wisconsin Point. He pointed out that the MOU web site under Recently Seen had a bunch of pictures labeled as from Minnesota. I was under the impression that the sightings were all Wisconsin sightings, but obviously I have been wrong. Would Duluth birders who have been posting these pictures please identify where in Minnesota these pictures were taken and in the future please be clearer as to where these sightings are coming from.
