Finally, a nice day that corresponded with a day off! Took advantage by birding around the western portions of Cass County up to just north of Walker.
Highlights (not in taxonomic order): Bald Eagle - 5 Rough-legged Hawk - 3 Black-backed Woodpecker - 1 (west of Swamp Lake on Cass Line Rd.) Northern Shrike - 4 Black-billed Magpie - 6 (County 19) Gray Jay - 1 (west of Swamp Lake on Cass Line Rd.)
