A fairly quick pace through Katherine Abbot Park in Mahtomedi yielded tons of birds. Besides the usual, I noticed lots of bluebirds, black and white warbler, white crowned and white throated sparrows, ruby-crowned kinglet, belted kingfisher, green heron, turkeys, deer and a beaver! I need more birding hotspots east of and near White Bear Lake! Ideas? Mary
