I received a couple emails regarding this bird so I figured an update is warranted.
After watching it for 30-40 min at around 11:00am today. I went to lunch and came back an hour or so later and could not find the bird again. Others were searching diligently but also came up empty. I first noticed the bird when it flew in over me from the south and settled into the marshy grass area in middle of NE pool. It then flew up again, circled and settled back in same area. Then it foraged in the marsh grass with up to half it's body showing - not hard to see. I am definitely unsure even after 30+ minutes of viewing as to species. Sometimes the facial area seemed dark and other times I thought there was some white when the lighting was better. No scope, moderate distance and mediocre lighting didn't help. Hopefully someone finds it again and can give a positive id.
