I spent about 3 hours birding at Elm Creek today from the parking lot at Hayden Lake & Hayden Lake in Champlin.
Good birding going both directions on the trail. I counted 48 different bird species. Noteables: Trumpeter Swan, Sandhill Crane, Indigo Bunting, and lots of Clay-colored Sparrows.
