There's been tons of action at the refuge today - warblers, vireos, grosbeaks - following a feeding flock of chickadees around the building. Cedar waxwings are feeding on Virginia creeper berries. A really scruffy-looking cardinal showed up this afternoon. I have a hard time concentrating on my "work." Warblers around the HQ today included: chestnut-sided yellow black and white common yellowthroat (watched one feeding a cowbird baby) Tennessee Nashville and American redstart There certainly may have been others - I didn't get good looks at them all.
