The male Varied Thrush was present and pretty active this cold morning between 11 and Noon at 17774 Blackbird Trail, off of Ravenna Trail, SE of Hastings. A Northern Shrike was at Lock and Dam #2 just upriver from Hastings. And the Long-tailed Duck continues at Pt. Douglas, across from Prescott, WI.
If you look for the thrush, park in the street and walk up near the house. The bird feeds under the spruce and below the apple tree near the driveway pullout.
