I saw redpolls on two occasions over the weekend between Lutsen and Tofte 100 yards from HWy 61. The first was a very dark single redpoll sitting at a feeder with a pne siskin. The next sighting was of a large flock of mostly pale redpolls, much paler than the one seen the previous day. I haven't done a lot of winter briding so I am not familiar with Redpoll ID. Any chance this second group could be Hoary Redpolls?
