I took a quick spin around Winona's Prairie Island today looking for waterfowl. The numbers were nothing like the reports coming in from Byllesby and other areas, but there was a nice variety of species, highlighted by a good number of Northern Pintails and American Wigeon. Hooded Mergansers were also well represented. Species seen:
