On the south end of Lake Phalen in St. Paul, Ramsey County, I observed a possible Red Throated Loon in non-breeding plumage on the south end of the lake. I could be wrong because I would expect breeding plumage this time of the year.
There are also a number of Common Loons on the lake as well as several pied billed grebes. The horned grebes present last week appear to be gone.
