Last night while driving on MN Hwy 13 north of Waterville, MN, my wife, Leanne, observed several hundred nighthawks, with some gulls mixed in, swirling over the highway apparently in a feeding frenzy after what appeared to be migrating Dragonflies. This occurred after 6:30 PM. The flocks of birds were spread out in about a 2 mile area just south of Waseca Cty Road 7.

She also observed quite a large number of tree swallows farther on Cty Road 7 heading east doing the same thing. It was quite an amazing sight!
