There were hundreds of ducks on the southeastern side of Lake Bemidji
yesterday, Nov. 2, and today, Nov. 3rd. On Friday evening I found a
White-winged Scoter near a small group of scaup and goldeneye. Another
interesting find was a Common Goldeneye x Hooded Merganser (Hybrid) swimming
amongst a different group of goldeneye. Both birds were photographed and
re-found Saturday morning around 10AM.
