Subject: [mou-net] for raptor-lovers, international birding--close to home

This weekend will bring an exciting opportunity for first-hand learning
about raptors from beyond our state and national borders. Carpenter Nature
Center is once again hosting a program by World Bird Sanctuary, which will
feature some of the Sanctuary's resident birds, some of them in flight
demonstration.

The seven raptors include a Long-crested Eagle, and a Eurasian Eagle-Owl,
the largest species of owl on earth. There will be flight performances by a
Barn Owl, a Harris' Hawk, and a Hooded Vulture.

The presentations are both highly informative and very entertaining for all
ages. They also provide a rare opportunity to make direct comparisons with
our own more familiar raptor species, such as those among Carpenters'
resident education birds.

The programs will be March 2nd and 3rd at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00
p.m.****

RSVPs are required. Admission is $10 per person or $7 for ‘Friends of CNC’.*
