Hi friends of Friends of Sax-Zim Bog!

The Big Half Year participants are ramping up their efforts as spring
approaches and you can help us by pledging them! Pledge lump sum or on a
per-species basis.

Take a look at all the interesting web pages of the individual
birder/photographers here:
http://bighalfyear.dojiggy.com/ng/index.cfm/b22d876/regPages/pages/?p=111601

AND IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE! (Giving away in a
drawing two pairs of $500 value Eagle Optics binoculars)

CHECK OUT THESE INTERESTING BIG YEAR CONCEPTS...

**Dave Benson "Primitive Peat" is doing a Laurentian Mixed Forest ecosystem Big
Half Year

**Lars Benson (Dave's son) is out to raise more money than his dad by
motivating people with his goal of 260 to 280 species!!

**Dave Steininger and Lori Williams are counting birds at their home and cabin.
Lori says Dave can't count his "flying" Gray Squirrels!

**Shawn Conrad is sticking to his beloved Itasca County...and racking up a
great list.

**Sharon Stiteler is seeing how many species she can digiscope in N
America...Go bird chick!

**Kim Eckert is getting pledges based on his Minnesota Birding Weekends
trips...They were up to 295 species as of Feb 7th!

**The little "Beaster girls" formed their 3 Red Robins team and will see what
birds they can find at their grandparents homes in MN, WI, and AZ.

**Mike Hendrickson made a blog to chronicle his Big Half Year then linked to it
on his page. Great idea!

**Yours truly made a Google+ album so I could post all my favorite bird photos
from the Big Half Year.

THANK YOU FROM "OWL" OF US IN THE BOG!
