Hi Birders
It has been cold and crisp but good light for photos.

Two weeks ago today I saw a northern shrike near lake cenaiko . In the last
week. I've seen hooded mergansers several times and common mergansers each day,
as well as fifty to a hundred goldeneye's every day, a barrows was spotted last
week but I didn't see it myself, several trumpeter swans every day, Canada
Geese, Two bald eagles on several occasions including one immature. Yesterday
we saw a pair of gadwall land in the channel and a red Shouldered Hawk flew
over head at about the same time. Today I spotted a red tailed hawk working
on a nest in the heron rookery south of the walkway and half a dozen gulls
(probably ring billed)on an ice island in the middle of the river. In the last
two weeks I've seen lesser and greater scaup as well . I have pictures of most
of what I mentioned.
