I stopped by the Great Blue Heron rookery at Coon Rapids dam Tuesday and viewed it from the East side. I noticed a grizzly scene with what appears to be 2 herons hanging upside down from a nest area. The nest is about the 6th most Southern one and the birds appear to be bound by their feet. They looked like they had been dead for a while. The nest is some 60 feet up the tree and I guess they might have been snared by fish line from a catch.
