While birding at Brighton Beach this morning, I found a distant Red-necked
Grebe, as well as a drake American Wigeon flying by with a group of
Mallards. It is exciting to see the birds moving through the area, even
through the recently-fallen snow! I think today and especially tomorrow
could be fantastic days for hawkwatching throughout the Twin Ports area.
Clearer skies tomorrow, with calmer (not-north) winds, and a brief warming
of temperatures before snow comes through later this week.

Here is a picture of the Red-necked Grebe from this morning. This bird was
not visible to the naked eye.
