This morning I counted EIGHTY-THREE Red-necked Grebes from Stoney Point.
While out there, I also had my first-of-the-year Song Sparrow, Northern
Flicker and Belted Kingfisher.

Here is a photo of just some of the Red-necked Grebes

Before going out to Stoney Point, I birded at Brighton Beach. Red-necked
Grebes, Horned Grebes and Common Loons are found there regularly right now.
When I got home this morning, a Red-bellied Woodpecker was calling in the
back yard!
