There had to be well over 100 horned grebes on Lake Gervais in Little Canada this afternoon. Also present were pretty large numbers of coots, a few bufflehead and scaup and several loons. Saw a possible red necked grebe but it was impossible to stop for a better look. The single loon was still present on tiny Spoon Lake along with a whole lot of fishermen.
