Was out and about in Dakota County today. I came across 4 snowy owls from 170th
-190th between 52 and Hogan. I was able to photograph all 4 but one was far
away and into the sun so the picture was just for documentation. The highlight
was around 4:00 when the bird on Hogan, that Steve Weston Located during the
Hasting's Christmas Bird Count, perched on the telephone poles on the side of
the road. This made for great pictures in the light of the setting sun.

Please try not to get too close to the snowies. If you get close enough to make
the bird flush then you are too close. Every time a bird flushes it burns up
energy it needs to survive.

I also was able to photograph the long-tailed duck under the railroad bridge at
Prescott.

Thanks,
