I agree that tank cars should be brought up to current safety standards, but even if they are will rail ever be the best way to transport petroleum products? It seems that the unintended consequence of opposing pipelines is being seen in what may well be a much more dangerous method of transport - rail. We should be proponents of the best transport solution, whatever that is.
