It appears that goose migration has picked up in southwest Minnesota with
today's south-southwest winds. I've seen all 5 of the state's regular
species of goose within the past two hours a few miles southeast of Windom
in Jackson and Cottonwood counties. The majority of flocks have thus far
numbered under 100 individuals, with Canada, Cackling, and Greater
White-fronted being the most numerous species.
