The Merlin that was seen at Butler and Smith, on Wednesday, March 12th was
relocated at Butler and Carrie, today at 16:20, Monday March 17th, 2014.
It is swaying in the breeze, 5/6th of the way up in a tree in the back yard of
277 Butler.

Also in the area was a fly by immature bald eagle from South St Paul,
and off to the North two more Eagles sparing with each other.
I was just waiting for them to lock talons, soon they moved too far to the
north to be seen.

The highlight of the day was at 13:45, down at the West Side Flats
along the Mississippi River at Fillmore and Robert Streets.

While on my way back from my afternoon work break, walking outside,
I just missed the action when a Peregrin Falcon snatched a pigeon out of the
sky.
I heard a squawk and looked toward the south to see a falcon carrying off the
bird slowly losing altitude.
The falcon made it to the St Paul side of the river landing on the sandstone
bluff just west of the Robert St bridge.
wow!
