After Sean Peterson and I extensively searched the vicinity we found an
additional 6 owls for a total of 13 Snowies, which I believe is a new high
count for the state. The owls all appear to be sleeping or at least
sedentary so we were able to verify that we didn't double count any
individuals. All of the owls are located in a roughly 5 square-mile area
west of CR 3, south of 670th St., east of 110th Ave. (two owls barely west
of here), and north of CR 4. Both adults and young birds present.
