At least 1 Common Gallinule continued at Sherburne Refuge today (5/25). 2-3
have been present since at least May 8th. The Gallinule is located in Big
Bluestem pool which is 2.5 miles along the wildlife drive and is relatively
easy to see once it begins to wander between the reeds.

Some other nice birds around included: nearly 30 Black Terns (most were at
Big Bluestem), many singing and easily found Grasshopper Sparrows, and
Orchard Orioles (easiest to find at the rest area at the beginning of the drive)

Several snakes and a Blandings Turtle were also seen slowly crossing the
roads, along with many ticks in the grass
