My boyfriend and I did some birding over the past two days. Here are some
things of interest:

The Cerulean Warbler was still singing at the previously described location
(southeast of trail marker 18) in Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve (south of
Burnsville) as of today. We were unable to locate the nest, however.

We heard and observed two male Hooded Warblers singing at Murphy-Hanrehan
Park Reserve, also today. The first one was at the previously described
location south of trail marker 10. The second individual was a couple
hundred meters west of trail marker 2. A Blue-winged Warbler sang farther
northwest along this trail.

Some notes of Hennepin County birds: A Brown Creeper was singing away at
Fort Snelling State Park (near Bloomington) today. A Wood Thrush was
sitting on a nest at Crow-Hassan Park Reserve (near Rogers) yesterday.
Multiple Blue-winged Warblers, Veeries, a Vesper Sparrow, and a Savanna
Sparrow were singing at/near Elm Creek Park Reserve (Champlin) yesterday
and the day before. We were unable to locate any Prothonotary Warblers at
Fort Snelling or Elm Creek over the past three days.

Thank you Dave Zumeta and Steve Broste for sharing your observations. Good
birding!
