On Saturday, I picked up two road killed deer along Highway 61 and placed them
in my field at home. By yesterday morning and throughout the day, I had large
numbers of vultures and eagles visiting the carcasses. I have not yet mowed my
field for the season so can't see the birds sitting directly on the carcasses
but one of the birds flying in, I suspect was a Golden Eagle (could not get a
good enough look to confirm). I have a camera near one of the carcasses so it
should make for some interesting photos. My wife and son saw two wolves in our
field earlier last week so the carcasses may not last long.
