Fellow teacher Mike McNab reported seeing a Snowy Owl just north of his place
on the Tri-
County Road yesterday at 9:30 AM. The exact location would be 100 yards north
of 360th St.

There is no doubt about the reliability of this report. Here's Mike's account:

Mike nearly severed his finger cutting a squash and was driving himself to the
doctor when
he spotted the owl a mere 10 feet from the ditch on the Meeker side. He slowed
way down
and the owl turned its head and followed him the whole way. When asked about
the
coloring of the owl, Mike said it was "as white as it could get."

Mike has a lot of experience with Snowy Owls as he found me my lifer last year
as well as a
a couple others. Unfortunately I cannot explore the area until next week, but
it may be
worth checking out if you happen to be going through the area.

Good luck and please let me know if you find anything.
